At Rostrata Primary School we take pride in preparing our students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to use technology to meet the current and future needs of our society. Students at Rostrata PS learn to communicate ideas through codes and symbols, collaborate with others and persist through difficult tasks. They learn about programming concepts, computational thinking, digital citizenship, and create digital solutions.
An integrated approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) is also a priority focus area at Rostrata. We have an annual STEAM Festival held to coincide with National Science Week with classroom teachers and specialist STEAM teachers providing opportunities to apply their learning through digital and non-digital ways allowing students to be creative, design and experiment.
